Following strong representations by the Conservative Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr David Greenhalgh, the Scottish Government and First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, it has been confirmed that travel restrictions between Bolton and Scotland will come to an end, effective from midnight on Tuesday 29th June 2021.
The First Minister wrote to the Leader of Bolton Council on Tuesday 29th June to say "that the efforts of your community have been successful in reducing the number of cases [of Covid]... The people of Bolton have always been and will continue to be welcome in Scotland..."
