We believe in empowering communities. Local people already contribute so much to Bolton and we want to make sure they have a voice, working in collaboration with local councillors to achieve the best for their area. That’s why we want to hear your views on Community Alliances.
- Community Alliances will see residents, volunteers, businesses and key institutions working together in every ward
- Meeting regularly, these groups can use their local knowledge to draw up local priorities and develop a vision for their area
- These alliances will give residents more of a say of what goes on in their area in a more and open transparent way
Executive Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Cllr Mudasir Dean, said:
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us how much knowledge, skill and community spirit we have right across the borough. The council wants to empower our communities to find local solutions to local issues.
But it’s important that everyone has their say on these proposals, and we want residents, community groups and businesses to share their views.
I urge members of the Bolton family to get involved and have their say.
The success of this model will ensure improvements in the lives of each and every Bolton resident of all ages and backgrounds.
You can give your views to Bolton Council on these proposals with more information available online, so complete the survey and tell was what you think: https://bit.ly/Area_Working
